Tornado Coffee Company was an idea brewed from our love of great coffee and our Oklahoma roots. We’re David and Amber Morgan, and our story started with a first date over coffee — from there, the ideas and love bloomed. After years of roasting at home, we launched Tornado Coffee Company to share high-quality, flavorful, small-batch roasts that celebrate the spirit of Oklahoma and the stories behind the beans. Whether you're riding out a thunderstorm or breezing through your Monday, we’ve got a roast for you.

  • The Method

    We use a fluid bed roaster and focus on small batches, usually 2.5 lbs or less. This type of roaster is all electric, and it uses hot air to circulate the beans, creating a uniform roast. By roasting small batches we maintain control over every aspect of the process, ensuring each bag is as rich and flavorful as possible. 

  • The Madness

    When we say we prioritize quality, we're not just blowing smoke. After roasting, we hand sort all of our batches, looking out for beans with defects and those that are over or under developed. These "bad beans" can detract from uniformity and impact flavor.
    It's a tedious process, but we think it makes a difference.
